 The Crucible of War -- A floating asteroid the size of a small planet carving its way through the universe. Eight Cities, a million participants, death, blood, carnage, control. The Crucible is televised across the cosmos and provides entertainment for the The Great Galactic Empire and its Citizens. Every once in a while though it needs it's Contestants replenished. This time around Earth has been chosen. 50,000 humans are to be given the honor. One of those is 52 year old retired Army Master Sergeant, Jebediah 'Jeb' Stone.

Gideon has healed himself and escaped the assassination attempt by the System itself. He came out of it still Copper while all the movers and players were Iron with the System's last ditch effort to see him dead with time dilation tricks. The World Council happens and the list of adversaries keeps growing as does the number of possible allies.

Little Shira is almost lost and everywhere they turn there are threats to not only their own lives but all those they care about. The secret of why Erebus and Gideon himself have caused the entire Multi-Verse and the Primordials themselves to scramble to control the new planet has been revealed and the Second Challenge has been unleashed -- Dungeons. 

 A man who was forced to become an Assassin is interrupted just as he was to kill the last impediment to get to the Senator who sent him down the path.

Earth has been chosen for Integration into the Multi-Versal System and reality itself will shift to a post apocalyptic scenario. It will not stop him from keeping the promise to end the Senator and bring justice for the broken women he left behind. 

 They have survived the Tutorial and now enter their new home, the merged world of Erebus. The Multi-Versal System is still an asshole, still focused on blood and carnage, murder and treachery.

They have three days to prepare for the beginning of a trio of Monster Waves to test the few that have survived. On top of that, the flora and fauna of the new world have been mutated and enhanced. Gideon, L'Sana, and Ari are not alone however. They made a deal and the remnants of the Shador are at their side. They have a City Stone and a few Gods in their corner whether Gideon wants them or not.
